Kelley & Associates developed the Memphis Police Department’s multimedia recruiting campaign to attract dedicated, caring and qualified individuals to join the Memphis Police Academy for law enforcement career training. Called “Join the Best in Blue,” campaign creative invoked hometown pride in Memphis’ most meaningful cultural, historical and natural elements.
Supplemented by monthly news interviews, the campaign spanned broadcast, digital and out-of-home media in a mix of television, radio, billboard, bus and digital ads as well a new website and social media profiles.
MPD received 3,067 applications from June, 2016-January, 2017 due to our campaign, while receiving only 325 applications from June, 2015-January, 2016.
This “Best in Blue” campaign won several awards including a Communicator Award and Marcom Award.
