Plough Foundation: Guidebook

Kelley & Associates worked with the Plough Foundation to develop a comprehensive guidebook focused on aging in place and universal design for residents of Shelby County, Tennessee. Titled Aging in Place and Universal Design: Making Your Home Accessible, No Matter Your Age or Ability, the publication was created to help individuals, families, caregivers, and community partners better understand how thoughtful home design and maintenance can support safety, independence, comfort, and long-term livability.

The guidebook offers practical information on accessible design, adaptable design, universal design, home safety checks, exterior and interior modifications, fall prevention, cost considerations, and local Memphis-area resources. With clear organization, helpful checklists, and approachable design, the publication empowers residents to make informed decisions about modifying homes to meet changing needs while creating vibrant, sustainable living environments for people of all ages and abilities.
